【摘要】:Thepurposeofthisguideistodefinetheelementsofaradiologicalprotectiontrainingprogramthatwillenablearadiationworker,uponcompletionoftraining,toachievethefollowing:4.1.1Understandtherelativehealthandsafetyrisksassociatedwiththetypesandlevelsofradiationthatmaybeencounteredduringtheworkassignmentinradiologicallycontrolledareas,4.1.2Completetheformsandrecordsnecessarytobepermittedtofunctionasaradiationworker,4.1.3Practicethenecessarymonitoringandcontaminationcontroltechniquestominimizeexposuretoradiationorradioactivematerials,orboth,and4.1.4Practiceworkhabitsthatwillminimizetheimpactofradiationorradioactivematerials,orboth,upontheworkplaceandsurroundingenvironments.Thestandardizationofradiationworkerradiologicalprotectiontrainingprovidestheindividualradiationworkerwithagreaterassurancethatthetrainingreceivedisadequatetominimizeradiationexposure,toenabletheworkertoworksafelyinaradiologicallycontrolledarea,andtomeetapplicableregulations.Thestandardizationofradiationworkerradiologicalprotectiontrainingpreventsunnecessaryretrainingofradiationworkers.Thisguideshouldbeusedasthebasisforestablishingaradiologicalprotectiontrainingprogramforradiationworkersatnuclearfacilities.1.1Thisguidecoversgeneralrecommendationswithrespecttostandardworkpractices,procedures,andmeasurementmethodsfortheradiologicalprotectionportionofhealthandsafetytrainingforradiationworkersatnuclearfacilities.Thisguidedefinestheelementsofatrainingprogramforradiationworkersconsistentwiththephilosophythatoccupationalradiationexposurebekeptaslowasisreasonablyachievable(ALARA).Regulatoryagencieshavestatutoryresponsibilitiestopromulgateregulationsapplyingtothetrainingofworkersexposedtoradiationhazards.Thisguideshallnottakeprecedenceoveranysuchregulations.1.2ThisguideisintendedtohelpensurethattheemployerprovidestheradiationworkerwithradiologicalprotectiontrainingthattheworkerneedstoworksafelyinaradiologicallycontrolledareaandtomaintainradiationexposureALARA.1.3Thescopeofradiologicalprotectiontrainingshallberelatedtothedutiesandresponsibilitiesofeachradiationworkerandshallbecommensuratewithpotentialradiologicalprotectionproblemsintheradiologicallycontrolledarea.1.4ThisguideisalsointendedtoprovideguidancethatwillenableanevaluationoftheeffectivenessoftheradiologicalprotectiontrainingprogramtowardachievingthepurposestatedinSection4.1.5Thisguidedoesnotcoverthemoredetailedtrainingrequirementsforradiationprotectionprofessionalsortechnicians.1.6Thisguideprovidesreferencetothetypeofradiologicalprotectingtrainingrecordsthatshouldbecreated,andrecommendsretentionperiodsforradiologicalprotectiontrainingrecords.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
